Wake County at War: Wake County Veterans in Twentieth-Century Conflicts

Wake County at War: Wake County Veterans in Twentieth-Century Conflicts

Wake County at War: Wake County Veterans in Twentieth-Century Conflicts explores the experiences of local veterans through the lens of the Military Collection at the State Archives of North Carolina. This program highlights the service of men and women from Wake County who served in major conflicts of the 20th century, from World War I to the Gulf War. Drawing from original letters, photographs, and oral histories of Wake County servicemembers, the presentation offers an intimate look at how global events shaped the lives of Wake County residents.
