WCHS Mini Grants - Applications Open Feb 1, 2027

MINI GRANTS - Wake County Historical Society (WCHS) launched a mini grants program in 2025 open to the community for entities furthering history in Wake County. These mini grants will open for applications on February 1, 2027 with a deadline of February 28 for applicants. Awarded at our Annual Meeting in June, these grants are open to:

Tax Exempt Nonprofits headquartered in Wake County
Serving Wake County residents
With funding for a Wake County project
This mini grant will be for $1,000.

Eligibility, full criteria and the application will open on February 1, 2027.

WCHS is offering these grants in order to deepen our offerings to the community and to enhance our roots in Wake County. This program is funded from a newly established endowment with the North Carolina Community Foundation. We expect to offer more grants in future years as this fund grows.

Established in 1957, WCHS is 69 years old. Our Mini Grant program will add to its roster of $71,000 worth of completed projects over the years.
